What people are saying about Totem

Magnus Taljaard, Head SBG Mobile, Standard Bank

It was a privilege to work with you, Suzan. Thanks so much for the absolute dedication and professionalism throughout!

Sue Mills, Baby Care Research Fellow, P&G

Suzan….WOW. We will do a follow up workshop among the smaller project team members to really extract the wealth of insights.”

Kate Van Rooyen, Innovation Manager, Kraft

In just three weeks, Totem generated virtually the same insights we had harvested through several rounds with a large innovation consultancy and several rounds of focus groups at much greater cost. Totem’s analysis identified the real connection between the product and this white space with which we had struggled until then. The creators’ ideas were really, really great, and we are still using several of them….

Dr. Ed Rinker, Research Fellow, Clorox

There were so many great ideas. And Totem’s insights were dead on with what we had developed over much more time using traditional methods. Co-creation and Totem combined are a great capacity-building tool. We would probably just give them some white spaces to develop for us, while we work on others.

Melanie Healey, Group President North America, P&G

There is no question that P&G needs this capability, and that Totem’s model is an excellent approach.

Elaine Tai, BP China

We shared the findings with some stakeholders. Very encouraging response and seems to change some non-believers to believers.

Ronny Korner, Long-Term Strategic Planning, Intel

On my side, I felt constant support on all aspects of the project, relentless drive to deliver high quality results and sheer fun to work with.

MaryAnn Delvento, Innovation Manager, Kraft

All of the Totem concepts that we tested met the company’s benchmarks for further development.

Metty Poie, Associate Director, Open Innovation, Grocery Division, Kraft Foods

I was blown away by the diversity of countries responding. The entries really opened my mind to what ‘kid fun’ really means, and can mean.

Laura Trivuzio-Huijgen, Global Innovation Manager, Heineken

We worked very well together and it has been a very constructive relationship. Totem brought a very open, fresh and smart perspective to the project.

Camille Zahnizer, Brand Manager, P&G

Totem challenged the way we had been approaching this initiative. They made us realize it was a much bigger opportunity than we had previously thought.

Dmitri Haloulos, Brand Manager, P&G

I was surprised by the richness of the entries. The process really worked.

Aaron Penn, Global Innovation, ABInBev

What we’ve just done is iterate on some very strong insights from co-creation. What’s great is knowing that the starting thought is coming from the consumer, so we have a really strong starting point to build action on top of insight.
